Kualoa Ranch has been used as a backdrop for many films, and for good reason: the place is gorgeous. While the most common tours go by bus, ATV, or horseback, I chose instead to ride around the ranch on a mountain bike.

StripSteak, “a new genre of modern steakhouse,” recently celebrated one year of serving exquisite food and handmade cocktails at the Waikiki International Marketplace. The restaurant invited us to attend a small event to try out some new cocktails and appetizers.
Everyone should take the time to explore Volcanoes National Park as much as they can, since the park has a lot to offer. Even if you’re just visiting the Big Island for a day, make sure you include a helicopter flight in your agenda!
A short hike on the Big Island of Hawaii led to Kalapana lookout, where I could see lava flow into the ocean. This was the coolest thing I’ve ever done in my life.
